Professor Letnic is an expert on wildlife responses to fire, restoration of ecosystems and the management of invasive species. He has 25 years’ experience researching the ecological impacts of bushfires and can advise on the effects of bushfires on native animals and how to assist their recovery in the aftermath of fires.
He is part of the Saving Our Species Gondwana Hotspots research team which is currently working to improve outcomes for native wildlife by managing fire and introduced predators on the NSW North Coast.
